What antivirus are you using and did you recently install any new software or updates? Have you tried system restore?

I'm using ESET Secuity .. Only update i did was updated my Creative Media Source player .. Didn't try System Restore ... Only thing i can think of would be i used Windows 7 Manager to do some Tweaks not sure whether that caused it

Tweaks? Use system restore and then uninstall Eset and use Microsoft Security Essentials instead to eliminate the antivirus as the problem.

Yes,. Tara is right,. go to Control Panel >>> Administrative tools and Computer management is located there.

The Manage issue could be related to the context menu or the registry..

I can post as registry script and compare It yo yours

sfc /scannow may fix it from an elevated command prompt.

Otherwise, it's usually from an installed application, most notable being antivirus.

The tweaks may have had a hand in causing it.

You've probably broken a key part of your system. If the System File Checker won't work its time for a clean reformat. I wouldn't trust any backed up images either. Never install any useless software or try these hacks - something will break.
