    Cannot delete a folder????

On my Windows 7 machine, the folder C;\$$PendingFiles appeared about a week ago. This folder has three files in it, all size 0 bytes.

Once I saw the folder, I figured I could delete it, but that was not possible. I then tried running CMD as the Administrator, deleting from there, but that didn't work.

The next thing I tried was to boot into Safe mode - command prompt, and delete from there. However, the file is not visible and I was unable to delete it from there. I then rebooted, logged in as the Administrator and ran ATTRIB from the command prompt, to make the folder visible, but was told 'Access denied'.

What on earth must I do to delete this folder?

Disk clean should do it but who has ownership of the folder system?

Disk Clean didn't work, but thanks for the tip about ownership. I was able to change the owner, from Admin, to me. I then gave myself full control and was able to delete the folder.
