    Create a new shortcut with this address;
    shutdown -s -t ### -f
    ### = number of seconds

    Of course, don't forget to run it before you go to bed

    or if you want to do it through a program, press start and type 'scheduler'. Open the task scheduler, and click create basic task on the right hand side. This brings up a wizard, and just follow the steps. When it comes to the action tab, select 'start a program' and then browse for C:\Windows\System32\Shutdown.exe which is the program that shuts down the computer. Finish the wizard, and you're all set!

    Choose create new task and follow the screens to set it up properly

    You need the timeout so it shuts down after a certain amount of time.

    You can also make it shut down at a specific time any day of the week..
