Windows 7 - Partition Missing

Howdi

I got a drive in my laptop partitioned 35gb 45gb. 35gb is c drive and 45gb is d drive. i switched off my laptop to relocate and when i switched it back on the 45gb(drive d was gone. This was my data drive. How can i fix this? It does show in disk management but as free space.

Here is the screenshot. I dit not format it or created the partition again just left it like is so can try just to recover it.

This is a recent post in which several programs are suggested to recover lost data.

If these are not what you are looking for, post a similar Urgent message in General (where many more will see it) to get the most options.

I think there is a freeware app that can do this for you, but you can try others including the paid ones (trial) first to see what they find and get a good cumulative idea of what will recover when you actually run the program you settle on.

If you are sure you need data recovery, try Kernel Data Recovery. It is not free, but you can download a trial that will show you what you can recover. I had to use it once, and it worked beautifully.

Do you use a 3rd party partitioning tool?
