Can`t install W7

Hello guys ,
I have a problem while i`m installing my Windows 7.Actually i have Vista SP1 and i want to upgrade to Windows 7, but i can`t because it says : "Windows Vista Ultimate Extras have been discontinued and will no longer be available after upgrading to Windows 7." and "Windows needs to be restarted so necessary changes to system files can be made before continuing." I restarted my pc twice.I don`t know what to do .
I restarted my pc twice and it still have the same errors.

Sorry for my bad English,

When it reboots, it needs to be able to boot from the DVD drive.
When the computer reboots, does it say on the top of the screen to "press any key to boot from CD or DVD"?
If not, then you either need to press a certain key, sometimes F12, to choose your boot device, or go into BIOS and change the boot order and have the DVD Drive listed before the HDD.

Try this

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

To see if your PC is ready for Windows 7, download the free Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. It scans your PC for potential issues with your hardware, devices, and installed programs, and recommends what to do before you upgrade

Hi and welcome

Ehat version of win 7 do you have? (ultimate<pro, etc) It may be telling you that you have to do a clean install instead of an upgrade

I tried with Upgrade Advisor and it says that is compatible .
The version i`m trying to upgrade is Windows 7 x64, Ultimate. I want to upgrade because i don`t want to reinstall a lot of programs or games and this would be very useful

Okay, good. First off, most of us here at SF recommend a clean install over an upgrade. It reduces the risk of problems later on. If you are intent on doing an upgrade, try disabling all Extras on Vista before upgrading. See if that works.
