    documents and settings


    how can I change this directory so I can get ito it
    I have tried the normal and it stops me every time

    the reason I have a program tmpgenc that places a lic file in a sub directory
    once the program stuffs up it cant be reinstalled untill this file is deleted

    Hi 3doz and welcome


    I suspect that even if you could get the lic in there it would probably not run. Its an XP app, I suspect it would have more problems than just that. My question is do you have a machine that can run a virtual machine (IE XP mode)?

    That would make it easier.

    Hi 3doz,

    The documents and settings folder form xp does not exist on win7. what you can see is just a symbolic link that points to the new location for the files and folders Display hidden system files and check under

    c:\users\username\apps\...

    for your missing application folder

    But as Ken has said the application may not work at all under win7

    the manufactor states it can after a sertain version . but it just locks up all the time
    thank for the new location I have removed and reinstalled , your corerct same problem
    I guess I will have to wait for any modifircations to come out on this one
    at least the tmpgen mpegeditor works

    thanks all found the solution in 7 there is compatable fault finder , and it worked great
