    Sorting problem

i Used to be a xp user a lot.
Now from about 2-3 months i m using WINDOWS 7.
But there is 1 problem in WINDOWS 7 of which i cant find any solution.
Maybe here somebody can answer this.

i have problem in sorting order.
in xp if there were around 100 folders & if we wanted to GROUP THEM BY NAME, then it would group folders starting with different letters differently.
eg. all folders starting with LETTER A, would be grouped under A, all folders starting with LETTER B, would be grouped under B, & so on.

BUT IN SE7EN, i cant find such option. When i try to group by name ALL FOLDERS STARTING & RANGING FROM A - H groups together & rest together.
    i Want SORTING LIKE xp.

HOW DO I DO THAT THING ??
if THATS NOT POSSIBLE THEN MAY BE THERE COULD BE SOME TWEAK or TRICK or SOMETHING.

    PlS. HELP ME OUT

why is everyone getting so emotional lately? caps lock means yelling, and its not nice.

this way of grouping has been present since vista. And, after an 'internet search', it appears that there is no option to make it XP style. Which sucks, it really should be an option as it is useful with large collections.

Isn't putting the whole lot in Alphabetical order the same thing? Without those dumb boxes with the very obvious labels (A: B: etc.)

with the block labels, you can click on them and select every item beginning with that letter. With the new way you have to hold shift and do it yourself

Not clear on that. I,ll take your word for it. I have mine only in alphabetical order. If I want to look at one I just click it. Can't think why I would want to select, for example, all the "As". Obviously I am missing something in this thread so I,ll back out.
