    Access Denied as administrator??

    hello,
Today I tried looking into some folders, one of which was Documents and Settings, but couldn't get access. I tried to change the permissions on the folder and had a problem with that to.
What can I do to allow myself to run my own computer??

    HI jeff and welcome

Documents and settings is locked because it is a sybolic folder. Win 7 doesnt deal with these the same. There i nothing in that folder that needs to be changes or accessed, if if you could it would break the OS.

why did you want to access it anyway?

Just curious to see if we can help

Gawd....do not touch or even attempt to change permissions on any folders that are denying you access! For...sake...this have been known since Windows Vista you would think this information was known by all. Messing with these junctions will only cause PROBLEMS nor do they need to be messed with, THERE IS NOTHING IN THEM!

    Meh.....sorry.
