Emachines D525 shutdown problem
Hello; this is my first post here.
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on an Emachines D525 laptop and I can't get a normal shutdown. I have tried the start button, the button pinned to the desktop, and a command line shutdown and all that happens is it shuts down for a few seconds and then starts up. The only thing that will work is a hard shutdown (hold the start button for 5 seconds) and I know that's not good for my computer.
I have had this laptop less than a week and upon searching, found that this is an issue with emachines computers (in general, it seems). Does anyone else have this problem, and/or is there anything that I can do about it?
I thank you in advance for any suggestions that you have,
