This update is provided to you and licensed under the Windows 7 Prerelease License Terms.

    An update is available that will replace certain audio and video codecs that expire in prerelease versions of Windows 7 on March 15, 2009


    Yesterday update installing fail with error 80070643. Tryed manually also install it but no luck, any suggestion how to debug it why it fails or solution for this?

    Hey i found out the problem this morning. Turn off UAC Control. In control pannel goto user accounts & turn it off then install your update ! Have Fun

    UAC if off already for me too....
    Think I will play with the settings (on/off) and see if it makes a difference though.

    restart your computer and then check for updates...

    i have had times where the update doesnt check into the installed updates section and a restart and a check for updates usually resolves it...

    I had the same problem and already solved.
    If you activate your windows seven using replacing method, you have to rollback to original non-activated state, then install updates and using the official product ID to activate.
