How to change Attributes of several files in a folder?

when i was using xp i lend 1 hdd to a friend, but before i change the attribute of a folder and all th files in it(25000) with DOS i use a comand li this:

C:[user]> attrib +S +H [folder path] /s /d

[/s /d] is to change the files in the folder but it doesnt work for Windows 7

i don't want to to change al the files one by one(25000!!!)

help!

Looks like it supports all the same options.
1. Do you "own" the files?
2. Did you try running cmd as admin?
