Recycle bin does not appear in Explorer

The Recycle bin doesn't appear in windows explorer. Is there a way to bring it up?
    TIA

Turn on view system files and hidden files in folder view options.

You really don;t need it, but go to Control Panel > Folder Options, click the view tab and uncheck Show Hidden Files and Folders

I have done folder options, but still can't see recycle bin. Currently options are set to 'show hidden file', unchecked 'hide protected OS files'. Am I missing something?
@reghakr: recycle bin is not a hidden file/folder. Even if you hide OS files, recycle bin should still be visible.

To see the recycle bin go to folded options>general tab put a check mark in the box for "show all folders" under navigation pane.

Navigation Pane - Show All Folders

Yeah, I think 'show all folder' did it. Thanks Pat.

Since it's on the Desktop, I just dragged it to the Favorites (top left) area of windows explorer. Works great.
