    Logging in

    Hi all

    Having been using 7 for three weeks now and absolutely love it

    I have one issue …. One very small issue that is bothering and hoping someone may offer a solution.

    I have one user account set up (myself as administrator) … I am the only one using the PC (home PC).

    When I start the PC up, everything loads fine, Windows boots.

    The niggling thing is the log on screen that precedes windows physically opening, it’s the one with my name and the stupid icon thing that I must press for windows to open.

    I have searched through user accounts and don’t see anyway to remove this ….

    I just want windows to boot and go straight to the main interface.

    Thanks

    Regards

    John

    The best way, in my opinion is to follow advice given by seekermeister. Always make a system image, before any changes.

    or

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
    "AutoAdminLogon"="1"
    "DefaultUsername"="Yourusername"
    "DefaultPassword"=""
    "ForceAutoLogon"="1"
    Save file as autologon.reg in ANSI format
