cant find ssd after w 7 install

    cant find ssd after w 7 install


    asus 901 netbook with xp and 4G + 8G SSD's
    i have just installed a vlited version windows 7 HP as often described in the forums

    everything seems to work well apart from - it cant seem to see the 8G ssd - the os is loaded on the 4g drive which is almost full - according to the machine this is the only drive!

    am i just being a fool or can someone tell me what is going on

    Does the second drive appear in Disk Management or Device Manager?

    there are 2 drives labelled 1 asus phison ssd the other simply disk drive

    sorry - i am using another pc as the netbook isnt connected at the moment
    i dont know how to snip in this case
    i am taking a while to get online with the netbook - can i get back to u or give other info

    It is most likely the unnamed drive in Device Manager. Click on that drive, select Driver tab then attempt to Update Driver by going online, or browsing to a flash stick/CD where you have loaded the driver for the SSD.

    Once you update the driver, or if there is a driver for that Device already, then check in Disk Management for the drive and assign it a letter.
