Monitor blinks repeatedly coming out of power saving.

I have a new problem. My monitor has begun to blink repeatedly after coming out of power saving mode (when the screen turns off automatically due to inactivity).

I have no problems with this in that past. This problem just started out of the blue a few days ago. Initially, it would just blink once or twice coming out of power saving mode, now it might blink 10 or more times before the monitor stays on. Once the monitor is on, it functions fine. The blinking only occurs after coming out of power saving mode.

Have you recently altered your screen's resolution? Often this can be the issue when it comes to blinking. I'd suggest booting in Safe Mode and adjusting the resolution back to the default or other appropriate resolution. Let me know how this goes. Good luck.

The screen resolution remains the same. It is the standard resolution for these screens.

Firstly, I apologize about my late reply, but my Internet was disconnected last night when I was helping you earlier. Now, if the resolution wasn't the issue, it's most likely hardware-related. I'd suggest reinstalling your video card and giving it a go then.

Alternatively, you might like to try turning your monitor on, then plugging it in (at the power). Often, this has helped with blinking issues.

Unplugging the monitor worked today. Oddly, last time I tried that solution, it did not. We shall see if the problem returns the next time I come out of power saving mode.
