Uninstall aplications

Hi,

There are times when we want to unistall some programs via Add or Remove Programs and they simply aren't listed.

To workaround this, you can use the folder c:\windows\intaller.

How?

Simply right-click on the column header, like "date" e.g. and choose "Comments". From this point on, you will have the Comments column.

One test, check for the Windows Live Messenger in Add/ Remove Programs, it won't be there. Go to C:\windows\installer and you can see it's description in comments.

Right-click, choose uninstall and that's it.

Note: there are some programs that do not get "comment".

Hope this helps someone,

Kind regards,

CatFish

Hi Catfish,

I know it was only for an example, but Windows Live programs are listed as Windows Live Essentials in Programs and Features to uninstall with. When you click on the Windows Live Essentials item, you will get to select which Windows Live programs that you have installed to uninstall.

Nice tip though.
