    System Specs

Hello, I'm a newbie and need help. I'm not sure my system specs are complete-wasn't sure what parts and pieces are in my laptop: HP dv9700 Pavilion, Centrino duo CPU. I did go to the system information and copied that. My OS is Win 7 home premium, 32 bit, upgraded from Vista home. So far, no problems. That's a good thing... VK

Let me be the first to welcome you.
You have found most of the information about your laptop.
If all going well that is great. I would still insure that you have the latest drivers and any other updates by checking the Microsoft site. It is probably setup to check and install updates automatically on your laptop.

Did you do an upgrade install or a full clean hard drive install?

I'm sure if you have any questions you will be able to find them here. This place in packed with a wealth of information to help you learn more about Win7.

Have a great one and hope to hear from you soon.

Uber Philf, I found some very tiny letters: dv9743cl; that must be it. It has an Intel Centrino Duo sticker on the front.

Thank you for the kind welcome, Iggy. I'm very new at this but am willing to learn. I upgraded from Vista, not a clean install but it worked; didn't feel confident on a clean install. I'm pretty sure my updates are on auto but am off to check that now.

Do I have enough information in my system specs? Or should I try to find more? And where? Thank you. VK

Got it! Thanks, Win7clutz, now I'll fill the empty spaces. I'm planning on a new computer but wanted to learn more about 7 first. VK
