Problems to capture right click menu I sometimes write little tutorials or develop class materials. Since I am a big believer in the use of pictures to explain things, I take a lot of screenshots or snips. For the screenshots I use FastStone Capture or Jing.
At times, I want to show a right click menu and annotate it. That works usually well with the screen capture of either program (it would not work with the snip because the moment you click on the snipping tool, the right click menu disappears) - but not so with screen capture.
However, in some rare cases ( and I have not been able to establish a pattern), the screen capture does not work when the right click menu is out - the screen capture works though on the same page as soon as I close the right click menu. And that is the same with FSC and Jing.
Would anybody know the reason for that behavior and how to fix it ?

Thanks for the answer. I use Print Screen and get my FSC to act on it. And I programmed F9 to screen capture with Jing. The cropping part is not the problem. I have many tools for that, but usually I use the Vista/Windows 7 snipping tool and snip the part from the screencapture I want (when I use FSC because they make a full screen capture). With Jing, you can capture any part of the screen when I go via the capture hotkey (F9). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 Problems to capture right click menu problems?
