How can you hate linux in every possible version? Its completely customizable, you can make it look like windows if you so choose.
That is not true, sorry. I have spent a huge amount of hours and days trying hundreds of themes and icon packs in Linux and I won't find a single one that I like. After all we are talking about personal taste, and I just don't like any. The closest one to something decent is the last theme coming in Ubuntu Karmic. Also the Leopard imitation is somehow alright. All the Windows imitations are really poor, as every Linux thing is poor and cheap. That is why only 1% of the world population uses it despite being for free.

That's not true. How much advertising does Linux do? How many computers come with Linux when you buy them? Hell, how many people even know what Linux is?

Yes, everyone here does. But I could ask any of my non-computer friends (and there are many) and almost all of them wouldn't be able to tell me what Linux is.

I could show people that and most of them would just think its a cute little penguin

Show anyone that and they'll tell you it's windows right away.

Oh, you dared to say Linux instead of GNU/Linux. Be careful, the Linux evangelizers and fundamentalists may come for you.

You always have to show the gnu logo next to the penguin and say GNU/Linux. This may sound exaggerated but I have been already insulted in Linux forums for this. You won't find the smartest guys in that World.

I have some old laptop network cards and dial-up cards I can fend them off with. Those pack a punch when thrown hard enough.

I aggree. But I still miss Vista.
+1 from me. I like Win7 because of it's smaller footprint and the enhanced automation. But for functionally it is a step backwards from Vista (if you like real operating systems). I think it was designed for nice little old ladies. But I can care less about the eye candy. I rather have functions.
I'm sure U were on the anti-vista campaign like everybody else... and windows 7 is in no way backwards from vista, it worked awesome from the get go, unlike vista
