Speaking of Libraries, there is some sort of "Dropbox" type gadget you can load on your desktop like the other any other Gadgets, where you can drag and drop videos, docs, images and music all at once and they will get placed in their proper default locations.
Sorry I don't remember the name. I think I found it here or on some other forum

    Hi JT,

I think it may be Magic Folder that you are talking about.

If so it's available Here ....

    smarteyeball, you said:

    >* Explorer Window>Right-click>open new Window (long overdue)

I cannot seem to do that, or at least figure out how you do it. I am using Build 7000, the Public Beta 1. Are you using another Build that has that option? Or, if not, could you explain better how you do it?

    Hello Leetutor,

Just tried it on 7000 x86 and it's the second item on the context menu when you right click on a folder - so not sure why you don't see it

Thanks. I was expecting to be able to right click in an empty area of the right pane, not on a folder...

    I like the libraries feature.

It allows me to consolidate all my data into logical places, like Documents, Pictures, Videos, or whatever other library I might need (I've added one for Programming). Regardless of where the information is saved, I have all my Pictures in one place, or all my Downloads. Which for me is pretty cool, since all my stuff is spread out across 8 hard disks....
I have only 6 harddisks but i've just put main folders (even one called Programming :) ), with the proper subfolders under them. To other related stuff on another drive i just add a shortcut to the main folder.

If i have to rearrange all now conform the libraries system gives me 2 disadvantages:
    1. I'm bound by whatever system MS will later on delete/change/'improve'
    2. I've to (re)build my entire current storage, which at this point is about 1.2 tb.

Guess I might as well add the features I especially like in Windows 7:

    - Aero Peek and Aero Shake and Aero Snap
    - the "Super" Taskbar
    - ability to backup images as well as files
    - the customizable Notification Area of the taskbar
    - the IPTV channels in Windows Media Center
    - many new Control Panel applets, such as Desktop Gadgets, HomeGroups, Notification Area, Troubleshooting, Action Center
    - the revamped accessories such as: Wordpad, Paint, Calculator, Magnifier
    - streaming media over a network and the lightweight (Playing mode) of WMP
    - capability of burning an .ISO file to CD/DVD with right click
    - ability to mount virtual hard disks

and probably a lot of other things I can't think of right now...

What I really DON'T like about Win7 is the absence of the Vista Movie Maker and its replacement by Windows Live Movie Maker!! There is no time line and no editing of clips!!

    Hello LeeTutor,

What I did to solve the Moviemaker issue was to download version 2.6 which is not as polished as the native Vista offering but a whole lot better than the current state of the Live beta, and works on Windows 7 without issues (so far anyway).

Download is here if you want to give it a try ...

I will have to start using this feature. I had no idea what it was all about. This takes files from different locations and lets you add them to the "library" It's a good idea. I am just so organized....I wonder if I could ever get used to it. Thanks for making me look into it!
