If the PC has been in the state where 1 or both HDDs has spinned down, and I put the PC to sleep, then when PC wakes up again I might miss the drives on the SATA controller. It is not every time it happens, so I allways has to look manually to see if everything is running after a wakeup.
My system:
GIGABYTE mobo P35 DS4
1 Intel X-25M 80GB SSD (works every time, but this device does not spin down)
2 dvd-burners (works every time)
2 Samsung Spinpoint F1 1 Tbyte (this is the drives that sometimes does not work)
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 retail
I'm using Windows 7 originally
drivers for the SATA-controller and for the drives.
This was not an issue on build 7264, there it was working allright. But after I got the final version of Windows 7, I also got my SSD, so I'm not sure if the error is Windows 7
driver or because I have a SSD attached to the system.
I'm quite sure that it is the controller itself that don't wake up again, because running diskmgmt and research for new harddrives when the HDD hasen't woke up, does not work, but deactivating the controller, and then activate it again in devicemanager do work.
Any idea to get rid of this issue?
