    Where are the mini windows?

I recently installed Windows 7, converting from Vista. One nice feature of 7 is the small windows of all open explorer windows whenever I mouse over the explorer icon at the bottom of the screen. Now I see only a list when I mouse over. I don't know what I did to cause that. I would like to see the small windows insteat of the list. How can I do it.

Hello Sihman, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I believe that you are referring to taskbar thumbnail previews of the opened windows. Do you have a Aero Theme selected? If you have one of the "Basic and High Contrast Themes" selected instead, then you will not have taskbar previews.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Hi sihman and welcome to Windows 7 Forums

How many explorer windows have you got open? There is only enough room to display 11 preview images of webpages. After that, you get a simple text list. When you close enough webpages so that you no longer have more than 11 open, you will find that the list will disappear to be replaced by the preview images again.

I guess, you are talking about this option "Task Bar Buttons" view. Please check the below link for screen shots of how to change it.
