    Creating and Burning Disc Images

Hi all, I've used the inbuilt ability to burn a disc from an ISO, and so far i'm very impressed.

I was wondering is it possible to create a disc image within W7 ?

Also, I notice that it so far has only let me burn DVD ISO's and does not recognise CDR's etc, almost as if, because I have a DVD burner attached, then a DVD it will be!

I'm sure it's something simple that i'm just overlooking, or an app buried deep inside some folder.:)

On the Disc utility on Mac OS X, it tells you what form of meduim the ISO is, for example 650MB CD, 4.3GB DVD, %GB% HDD or flash drive etc.

Also you can create an ISO image of the above, so that you can then drop stuff into it and it treats it from thereon as a mounted volume.

I think i'll feed this back.

There's nothing wrong with the burn programme per se, just some guidance on what media it's actually asking for.

    Hello Saverio,

You can use the free program ImgBurn to create a ISO file in Windows 7.
