What's wrong with the RAM? I have MacBook Pro (lastest one-Snow Leopard installed)
Using Boot Camp, I install Windows 7 build 7600 Ultimate 32 bit
What I know, I have 4GB RAM but why, in the system properties, it shows that only 2.72GB RAM is usable? Why this is happening? I can't enjoy 4GB RAM for my works (e.g GAMES )
Any idea anybody? | My System Specs |

Windows x86 never displays over 3.25Gb of RAM, and it sounds like your graphics adapter is sapping the rest. If you want to see correct memory reporting then use the x64 build instead... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built machine OS W7 x64 CPU Intel Q9300 2.5Ghz Quad LGA775 (Would like Q9650) Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3R (F6 Bios) Memory 4Gb OCZ Gold 1,333Mhz Graphics Card Palit HD4850 O/C Sonic 512Mb DDR3, Dual DViD's Sound Card Azalia to twin Samson 50w Studio Monitors Monitor(s) Displays Twin Dell (E-IPS) U2311H 23.6" Screens Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz Keyboard Cherry PS/2 custom model Mouse Lenovo USB laser "Thinkpad" Mouse PSU OCZ 600w Case Lian-Li PC8 acoustifoamed' aluminium tower Cooling Scythe 140mm Zipang Hard Drives Crucial M4 SSD, archives on twin Western Digital Caviar Black WD2002FAEX, 2TB, 7200rpm HDD's, Samsung Ritemaster CD/DVD Burner... By the way, my graphics card is integrated nvdia 9400GM 256MB
*Additional info, i also see my friend's laptop using windows 7. same results as me (2.72GB usable RAM, although 4GB RAM are installed) | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Build 7600 CPU 2.53 GHz Motherboard Apple Memory 4 GB |

Windows x86 can and does address 4Gb of RAM, but won't appear to as it under reports the available physical memory... here's one of the many articles you'll find strewn over the internet regards the same... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built machine OS W7 x64 CPU Intel Q9300 2.5Ghz Quad LGA775 (Would like Q9650) Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3R (F6 Bios) Memory 4Gb OCZ Gold 1,333Mhz Graphics Card Palit HD4850 O/C Sonic 512Mb DDR3, Dual DViD's Sound Card Azalia to twin Samson 50w Studio Monitors Monitor(s) Displays Twin Dell (E-IPS) U2311H 23.6" Screens Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz Keyboard Cherry PS/2 custom model Mouse Lenovo USB laser "Thinkpad" Mouse PSU OCZ 600w Case Lian-Li PC8 acoustifoamed' aluminium tower Cooling Scythe 140mm Zipang Hard Drives Crucial M4 SSD, archives on twin Western Digital Caviar Black WD2002FAEX, 2TB, 7200rpm HDD's, Samsung Ritemaster CD/DVD Burner... from that article, x86 architecture doesnt address that final 1GB at all, thats reserved for the IO memory address....thats memory hole problem for all x86, and not particular to any windows x86.
What is not discussed is if you have integrated hardware as on most notebooks....would the extra 1Gb be used for the IO devices....
from the OP, it doesnt look like it..... | My System Specs | | |
