hello azar..
You should be able to delete that desktop.ini file from "Files waiting to be written to disc."
Right click the file and delete it.
Have you done that? Does it create a new one everytime?

Thank you for your reply
I did delete the file but when i insert another DVD it appears again. It looks (to me) as a suspecious virus.
Another thing i forgot to mention about the data loss in my DVD i discussed earlier may be the shortage of space on my drive from which i was transferring data to DVD. Widows warned me about running out of disk space but i ignored and continued to burn data on DVD. I think that may be the problem i lost data after burning.
Awesome! Thanks a lot man.
another solution thats better imo to hide them that Rafael @ withinwindows.com told me is to do this:
Open an Elevated command prompt.
change to root directory (cd \)
and issue attrib +s +h desktop.ini /S
Ignore the permission denied errors. and now itll be hidden and wont do it.
Thanks a lot. It was driving me mad....
Thanks i have issued the command and it is finding .ini within the folders. hope will work for me IA.
