| | No Restart, or Shutdown Hey everybody, my 7048 x64 bit stays on "Shutting Down" screen with the cursor showing "loading". No matter if Ipush Restart or Shutdown stays there forever. My Setup: Asus Striker II Formula Inter QX6600 Quad Mushkin 4gb 8000 Gforce 8800GT Two M-audio Delta 1010 " Thnx for the drivers, got them from here" By the way speedstep and C1E are disabled in bios to keep stable clock on my MUSIC XP setup. thnx. |

| | Hi there, can you look at this value in the registery? waittokill timeout You can access it if you are the admin by running cmd then regedit Open up HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control the value should be in there and under "Data" it should say 12000 If not let me know. Don't edit or mess around in there... you could kill the OS and need to format. |

| | Its an M-Audio X64 driver problem try this and see if it works.... 1) Create a .bat file (create txt file and change extention to .bat) 2) Right Click on file > "edit" and enter following info: net stop "Audiosrv" net stop "AudioEndpointBuilder" 3) Save file as "Audio stop"(or whatever you want) to your main drive ie: C:\Audio stop 4) Open "run" from start menu and enter "gpedit.msc" (without quotes) and hit "OK" 5) Now navigate from right pain of window "User Configuration" > "Windows Settings" > "scripts (Logon/Logoff)" > "Logoff" 6) From window that opens from clicking "Logoff" Click "Add" then browse to where you saved "Audio Stop.bat" earlier and double click on it. 7) Hit "Apply" and close. You are done Window7 will now Automatically stop the Audio services when Shutting Down or Restarting allowing system to complete the process. |

| | wow, how'd figure that one out? and will it help with the driver power state problem too? if so, that'd be great. wonder if there are newer drivers for the delta series yet. i have basically the same set up as the OP too. Thanks

| | Thnx again but for music win xp sp3 no internet, the proper way. X64 drivers for delta suck. So far it's doing everything faster than vista. I'll stick with it. |

I'll stick with it. windows 7 x86 is workin fine for music!!! its just the delta x64 drivers that crackle a bit on win 7 x64  .But to be honest, until the more music apps can address or utilize more than 2gig ram x64 still isnt a serious choice unfortunately.... Although the new cubase 5 is an exception along with cakewalk sonar....digidesign may catch up in 2020!!!  AmBrOsE |

| | Cheers for this solution - I also had that problem with the Audiophile 24/96! As the other guy said, I'm also using XP SP3 without internet for the musical production studio  Better compatibility, lower latency ..Apart from that, Windows 7 build 7100 is rocking!! |
