Not Downloading anything, but W7 updates

    Ok...here is my issue...

I built my computer, installed W7 Pro 64bit, no issues..
Installed some diagnostic programs from my flash... no issues
Connected to the net to update windows and drivers...connected fine
    Windows updated fine..no issues
When I go to DL my drivers big issue

When I choose the "run" option.. the file download dialog box appears, the DL goes through the normal course, when the DL comnpletes... nothing happens.

When I choose the "save" option.. the same thing happens, the file does not appear in the directory.

I have no Internet security program installed that could block it. I turned off the Windows firewall and tried it, same result. Tried saving to public folder, same issue. I am logged on as admin. I am at my wits end, searches are bogged down with media issues.

I have no problems installing a program from disk, just from net. Also, there is no dialog box saying DL failed, blocked, or anything. It just blinks off and thats it.

    Please help....

    Scott

What is the full path where you are saving?
They might be downloaded to "C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore"

No.. I am designating the DL path as "C:\Users\[username]\downloads"
and then i tried the public folder because I had to put WoW in it on my laptop to get it to work right when i upgraded to W7 from vista.

the files are not writing to my Hard Drive. Nothing is happening when the file finishes DLing. I searched my computer using the search line for the exact file with 0 results.

Try downloading to the desktop instead. Once download has finished, and no file is on the desktop, right-click and select 'Refresh' (Third option down). What happens then?

nothing happened... the file was not there or anywhere...
also, my blizzard updater worked and saved the update, so It is allowing some downloads, but not others...
