Trying to join the microsoft connect is like speaking to an Indian call center -- round and round you go -- and even then you might not get "admitted" to the promised land.
The keys are freely available anywhere -- just do a bit of googling
Incidentally they work on more than 5 machines -- I must have installed at least 20 different systems with the SAME KEY and had no probs with activation.
There are only about 5 - 10 sets of keys for each type of OS (32 or 64 bit).
Some of these installs were on Virtual Machines -- but with significantly different "Virtual Hardware configurations" -- which usually DO require activation in normal circumstances) -- Hoping you guys don't think I'm actually MAD or CRAZY enough to have 20 computers .
My 16GB RAM Quad Q9400 system can EASILY run 8 or 9 concurrent VM's without even noticing it -- provided you've got enough RAM (even more important than CPU believe it or not -- assuming your VM's aren't really doing a huge amount of Number crunching / Photoshopping) and disk space (Over 8TB available !). You need a 64 bit OS of course as host or you can't address all the physical memory in the system which the Host needs when running all the Guest Virtual Machines.
If you need keys just PM me. You can still AFAIK anyway get keys from the Microsoft site without all the connect rigmarols even though W7 itself is no longer available.
Cheers
