How can I remove debris folders

I am unable to remove folders left as debris from a custom reinstallation of 32-bit Windows 7 (Home Premium.). I reinstalled the system because the regular upgrade installation from Vista had left me with a corrupted Administrator account (Among other symptoms, the corrupted account could not manage other accounts.) The reinstallation corrected the basic problem.

After the reinstallation I deleted as much of the Windows.Old folder (byproduct of the reinstallation) as I could. I am left with the following debris: "C:\windows.old\users\lamartin\documents\presentations\". The presentations folder is empty. I am unable to remove it.

The folder is not shared. I have set permissions for all users (including "Authenticated Users", "SYSTEM", "LOCAL SERVICE", "NETWORK SERVICE", "FredLamartin", "Admonistrators", and "Users") up to Full Control. Nonetheless, the folder cannot be deleted due to lack of permission.

I believe I could remove all of the debris if I could delete the folder at the bottom of the pile. Anyone have any suggestion?
