    Load WMP Full Screen Mode

    Hello

I am trying to get WMP12 to open in full screen mode. I want to put a keybaordless pc out on the kids tv and utilise the play to feature. Got everything going ok except can't get to load full screen mode.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    Glenn

Double Clicking the video does not go to full screen? You could try F11 but you said keyboard less.

Put a shortcut of WMP on the desktop. Right click, and go to properties. Look for a drop down menu that says 'Run' next to it. In that drop down menu, select 'Maximized'. Click on OK. Drag and drop the shortcut onto the taskbar and you should be done.

    OK - thanks guys

I'm nearly there - I can get it to run maximized but now just want to get it to go full screen auto - i might jsut have to put a mouse on the pc i think.

Any ideas about full screen on load?

    Thanks for your help

I don't think there's a way to run it full screen without pressing F11

    But, to keep it maximized:
    1. Go to start and type in Windows Media Player in the search bar.
    2. Now right- click on the Windows Media player icon and select properties.
    3. Now change the option to “Run to maximized” and click OK.

When you put a DVD in, it will play full screen ... it will show the WMP player controls at the start, tho'

All i could think of is quickly moving the mouse to this button once WMP is open.

I don't think it's possible in WMP12, i've looked around the options and nothing
Hopefully someone else will pipe up with something :)

It can be done with a script. Try this one I wrote.

Replace strFileToPlay with the path to your A/V file.
Replace SecondsDelay with the number of seconds you need for WMP to launch and start the A/V.

    Let me know.
