If you dislike the new logon screen with the Dove (build 7057) -- solution

    Thankgoodness for guys like Stardock.

If you really dislike the pale blue logon screen with that ridiculous "Peace Dove" (ZAP it someone) please
    then GOOD news.

Stardocks LOGONSTUDIO works on both X-86 and x-64 versions of W7 including build 7057 (which is the one with the hideous Dove on it and the pale blue insipid colour).

Whilst the supplied screens aren't very adventurous you can download others or "Roll your Own".

Maybe we should have a competition here -- It's a bit difficult to post the image as one hasn't logged in yet --so you can't capture the screen.

I might have a go by using a VM and then capturing the Virtual Machine image from the Host OS.

    anyway here's the link

    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/logonstudiovista.html

(thankyou guys from Stardock -- I was getting SICK looking at the hideous screens on some machines).

    Cheers

No need for 3rd party software

The ability is built into the OS

    Thanks guys
    Even easier

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hated the 7057 build logon screen.

What would we have done before "Google" and "The Internet"

    cheers

Hi Barman58 -- was recently in Wales for the Car Rally.

Great Bar in central Swansea's Wind st -- "The No Sign Bar". (Also plenty of other places for mischief and mayhem in Wind st Loads of young ladies with various (diminishing) layers of clothing on.

Couldn't believe how people were complaining at about 3 flakes of snow calling it "Winter" -- temp was even above 0 deg C.

BTW thanks again for the logon tip --worked a treat.

    cheers

I'm sure they'll change it at some point, if they see how much people dislike it.

we all have to admit it's a bit girly...would be perfect for my girlfriend but I would prefer a more "standard" one, at least for the default one.

It would be nice though if they let you change it with some tool or through themes... I mean, why let so many third party software doing it, or use registry editing methods, when they could just ask you to submit a picture of your preference for the logon screen??

Customizations and themes is one thing M$ was never that good at...
