Undeletable Links in Startup Menu + CMD file exe rights
I have a link to an exe in the Startup folder of the Start menu of a user. I wanted this to be in the startup of another user as well, so I copied it to that user's startup menu folder. But then I decided that I was going to put it into the Run key.
So I deleted the link from both startup folders, and it is gone now, even from the Recycle bin. However, it is still in the Startup menu of my first user, and I cannot delete it there.
When I right-click, there is no context menu, when I highlight it and hit the Delete key, it has no effect. The yellow pop-up tells me it's a shortcut, and the creation date is the initial creation date of a couple of months ago. When I left-click on it, nothing happens.
I can't figure out what happened to that link and how I can delete it. Can anyone help? Thanks a lot.
Another question I have is regarding a cmd batch file. I run this as a logon script and I'd like to have this admin rights. However, when I right-click on it, I can change various settings in the properties but the option to run it as admin is unselectable. Is this something lile the execution policy for the powershell and I must enable this somewhere? Running scripts directly as admin via the context menu works, I just can't make this permanent for this one script.
Thanks also for all suggestions for this issue
