    Actually, I just searched google
    Just double click on the empty border, and the window and options will come back :)

    I tried,but I get nothing when I click on the border, also this seems different even without the tabs.

    When you get the tabs back, click on the 'Applications' tab. That would look like the normal manager that you were used to in Xp/Vista. :)

    I can't bring up the tabs, when I right click on the border or any other location, nothing happens. Also the items contained in what I bring up are different than the standard items contained in Task Manager as noted below.

    2X left click the border to change it

    This thread has been helpful - unintentionally perhaps! Frustrated by the missingTask Manager (alt-ctrl-del does nothing), I didn't know it is now accessed by rt-clicking the task bar!

    The actual shortcut to Task manager itself is

    'Ctrl' + 'Shift' + 'Esc'.
