Is there a way to use Dx10 in Windows 7? My Windows 7 Prof x64 uses Dx9.0c(August) and Dx11. I can't find anything about Dx10. DXDIAG shows only Dx11. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HomieJunker OS W7 Prof x64 CPU i7 965 Motherboard Asus Rampage II Extreme Memory 6GB Corsair 1866 Tri-Channel Graphics Card Evga GTX480 Sound Card SupremeFX X-Fi mini card Monitor(s) Displays LG W2600H-PF 26" Screen Resolution 1920 x 1200 Keyboard Logitech Illuminated Mouse Logitech 518 PSU Corsair H1000X Case Lian-Li A77B Cooling Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme-1366 RT w/2000RPM fan Hard Drives 5 Seagate Satas ST3250310NS

Dx11 is backwards compatible. This mean that no matter how 'new' the DirectX is, older games that need an earlier DirectX, will still be able to run with Dx11.
Also, 7 is installed with Dx11 standard.
Are you saying that games aren't running? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer 5735z OS Windows Seven Ultimate Ver. 6.1 Build 7600 CPU Intel Pentium dual core t4200 @2.0ghz and 800MHz fsb Motherboard Acer CathedralPeak Rev Memory 4 GB Graphics Card Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M Sound Card Integrated Monitor(s) Displays 1 CineCrystal Display HD 8ms Response Time Screen Resolution 1366x768 Keyboard PS2 Mouse Synaptics TouchPad Case Notebook Cooling Stock Hard Drives 2 partitions: Acer C and Acerdata for the recovery partition Internet Speed Download: 3.15 mb/s Upload: 0.38 mb/s |

The problem is with FSX Dx10 Preview not having any AA. But I assume it's the video card driver now. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HomieJunker OS W7 Prof x64 CPU i7 965 Motherboard Asus Rampage II Extreme Memory 6GB Corsair 1866 Tri-Channel Graphics Card Evga GTX480 Sound Card SupremeFX X-Fi mini card Monitor(s) Displays LG W2600H-PF 26" Screen Resolution 1920 x 1200 Keyboard Logitech Illuminated Mouse Logitech 518 PSU Corsair H1000X Case Lian-Li A77B Cooling Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme-1366 RT w/2000RPM fan Hard Drives 5 Seagate Satas ST3250310NS

There is a huge difference between the FSX demo and the full blown FSX product.
Note that I have the Deluxe version and am using patches SP1 and SP2, which are not in the Demo.
I don't remember the demo having the Dx 10 Preview option. Does it? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HomieJunker OS W7 Prof x64 CPU i7 965 Motherboard Asus Rampage II Extreme Memory 6GB Corsair 1866 Tri-Channel Graphics Card Evga GTX480 Sound Card SupremeFX X-Fi mini card Monitor(s) Displays LG W2600H-PF 26" Screen Resolution 1920 x 1200 Keyboard Logitech Illuminated Mouse Logitech 518 PSU Corsair H1000X Case Lian-Li A77B Cooling Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme-1366 RT w/2000RPM fan Hard Drives 5 Seagate Satas ST3250310NS

I don't remember the demo having the Dx 10 Preview option. Does it? Nope, it doesn't.
But is the actual gameplay going wrong? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer 5735z OS Windows Seven Ultimate Ver. 6.1 Build 7600 CPU Intel Pentium dual core t4200 @2.0ghz and 800MHz fsb Motherboard Acer CathedralPeak Rev Memory 4 GB Graphics Card Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M Sound Card Integrated Monitor(s) Displays 1 CineCrystal Display HD 8ms Response Time Screen Resolution 1366x768 Keyboard PS2 Mouse Synaptics TouchPad Case Notebook Cooling Stock Hard Drives 2 partitions: Acer C and Acerdata for the recovery partition Internet Speed Download: 3.15 mb/s Upload: 0.38 mb/s |

Game play is ok. It's the antialiasing that does not work. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HomieJunker OS W7 Prof x64 CPU i7 965 Motherboard Asus Rampage II Extreme Memory 6GB Corsair 1866 Tri-Channel Graphics Card Evga GTX480 Sound Card SupremeFX X-Fi mini card Monitor(s) Displays LG W2600H-PF 26" Screen Resolution 1920 x 1200 Keyboard Logitech Illuminated Mouse Logitech 518 PSU Corsair H1000X Case Lian-Li A77B Cooling Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme-1366 RT w/2000RPM fan Hard Drives 5 Seagate Satas ST3250310NS

If its not really bothering you, I wouldn't worry about it.
