I dont know if this is the right place to be writing this but how do i change so my pinned icons stays in the same place as my recycle bin and my firefox, folder etc stays under the icons like i had in vista/xp?
To the OP: Try right-clicking on your taskbar and clicking Properties. Then uncheck Use small icons. Apply changes, and then change back if you want. Hopefully the problem will go away.

Do as Jon said above, then unlock the taskbar and go to the top edge of the bar, then click and hold once you see the up/down arrow, to move the bar down to keep everything level :)

Is there a method/hack or a 3rd-party program that allows the user to hide the taskbar by dragging its top border line downwards, after un-locking the taskbar? I remember I could do that under Win9x.

I love the translucent look of windows, but when I have a window in full screen mode, I want the taskbar to be solid!! this was standard in vista! A translucent taskbar and frame makes it look...
