    Sticky notes plugins/addons


    Are there any plugins/addons available to improve Sticky Notes features? Like for example adding pics attach, syncing, more colors, pinning to desktop, multi selection, easy backup (I know that this is available by going to the folder of sticky notes but a easy way), etc...

    I have searched for all over the internet and I can't find more than others app/gadgets similar to native sticky notes but with more features... I don't know if there is an api available in native notes so I don't know if there is possible to write a plugin for them...

    The only thing you can change is the font. To do any more you will have to find another program similiar to it that works with Win7. Upip can find more programs in this link.

    Yes I know that already my friend... thanks anyway... I hope to see in the future an app that works over the natives sticky notes... I don't want to use another program but that one...

    This Sticky Notes program is really cool. I wish it had more function as well. As it get more famous, maybe people will start developing add-ons for it (or so I hope)!

    Sync with Google Task will be soooooooooo nice for example!

    Personally I use a freeware utility called "Stickies" over the Windows own limited Sticky Notes. Stickies has a lot of the features requested in the original post and for some the missing features the "Tools" section of the website has plugins that add them.



    Main features:
    • Once on screen, stickies will remain where placed until closed, even through reboots
    • Stickies appearance can be customised; fonts, colours and buttons may be changed, and styles saved. Stickies can be resized.
    • Stickies can store text or images
    • Stickies can snap to each other and to the sides of the screen to keep them neatly lined up
    • Stickies can be attached to a web site, document or folder so they only show when it's on screen
    • Stickies can be transferred from one machine to another either over a TCP/IP network connection, or by using an SMTP mail server or MAPI client:
      • Hierarchical friends list, which may be automatically transferred from other friends
      • Play a sound file on receive
      • Signature for transmitted or emailed stickies
      • Favourite friends, and custom lists can be made
    • Stickies can be hidden for a certain period, until a specified date and time, or to wake every day, week or month, to act as reminders.
    • Stickies can have alarms set to ensure you notice them at a point you choose
    • Stickies can be transferred to and from your Palm or PPC PDA.
    • International language, Unicode and RTL text support
    • Stickies works with Windows Vista and Windows 7
    • Stickies is small and simple, it writes to a single text file, and does not alter the registry
    • AD network administrators can use Group Policy to control settings
    • API to allow integration with other applications
    • ...and Stickies is completely free!
    I find it great for keeping me reminded of upcoming appointments, birthdays, making a shopping list! I have no connection with the program just a happy user passing on the information.

    I would also recommend Stickies from Zhorn Software. I've been using it since Windows 98 and its really cool.
    Hope to see features like that on the default 7 stickies.

    Sticky notes inherit clipboard text attributes from MS Word


    Warmth, I don't know if you are still paying attention after 3 y but at least some font variations etc. carry over from text copied from Word.

Hi, I just developed a need for the sticky note function, but it's nowhere to be found. I searched for sticky, and sticky notes, in the Start menu - nothing. It's not listed on the Windows components list either. I must be the only one without sticky notes!
