Keyboard shortcuts do not work after shutdown

Hello!

I'm sitting with my laptop, where I have Windows 7 Professional installed, and have the problem: when I create a keyboard shortcut for a folder (for example Downloads) it works fine in the beginning. But after I have either put the computer into sleep mode or shut it down completely, the keyboard shortcuts simply do not work. I check the properties for the shortcuts I have made and the keyboard combinations are still there, but they just do not work.

If anyone else have had this problem and found a solution to it, please describe how.

Hi SweFranz,

Read this Microsoft Support article and let me know if it provides a solution for your issue: Some function keys or keyboard shortcuts do not work correctly on a computer that is running Windows 7

Thanks for the tip but unfortunately it didn't solve my problem.

All the keyboard shortcuts for programs and such work fine, it's just those referring to folders that wont work after I have shut the computer down. I have tried making keyboard shortcuts with all the possible keys (alt, shift...) but I get the same result each time.

Hi, My apologies for asking something which has been asked and answered in many variations, but none of which has helped much. I have three Win7 Home Premium x64 PCs called BoyToy (my main PC), Salsa, and Polka, all of which are wired to a D-Link DIR-655 router. I want to wake and shutdown...

Keyboard shortcuts don't work
I created a keyboard shortcut for my calculator, Control+Alt+C. It only works if the shortcut is also on the desktop. As soon as I delete the desktop shortcut, the keyboard shortcut stops working. I've tried creating other shortcuts and have the same problem. Thanks for any help.

Taskbar keyboard shortcuts don't work for me
I've read that the shortcut to access items in your task bar is windowkey + (1-9) depending on the placement of the app from the start button. I've tried it, but no luck. When I press the combination, nothing happens. Does this work for anybody else? Am I doing something wrong? I love the idea of...
