Save as file history

Is there any way in windows 7 to clear the history of recently opened files? Everytime I do a 'save as' in any program, it brings up a list of previously opened files. Is there any way to clear this? Thanks!

I'm not clear on what you're seeing. When I do a save as, in say, Word, I don't see a list of previous files. Where are you seeing this?

I appreciate it, but the problem got solved. However, it was showing up in the open, save as, save, and open with fields.
