Where is the "Run" (as in XP's start)

The start menu in XP had a "Run" option that allowed you to run items like regedit or msconfig. Has that "Run" field been abolished in W 7?
    Thanks

    Hello Anderson,

In addition to the above, this can help show you how to add RUN to the Start Menu as a button to open RUN easily.

Run Command - Add or Remove from Start Menu

...or if you would prefer a RUN shortcut instead.

    Run Command - Create Shortcut

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Another place to see it is start menu > All Programs > Accessories > Run

You can customize your Start Menu by rightclicking in an empty area>Properties>Customize. That's where I get my Run command button, expanding folder trees for Computer, Control Panel, and some hidden folders I want.
