| | USB ports problem A few days ago, my portable hard drive (USB) was not recognized. But it was OK on other computers in the office using Windows 7. I tried various ports, but the computer is new and in any case, this didn't help. I am wondering if it is safe to delete all the USB connections from the "Device Manager" and reboot to have them recognized again. Or could there be some other way of solving this problem? |

| | go to device manager USB root hub and power management tab and uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device to save power |
