Explorer shortcut - Minor but irritating problem

Hey guys,

Got a bit of a problem with Win 7 which is rather irritating.

Like most people i have the folder icon on my taskbar. I also have set up several other links to specific folders which are accessed by right clicking that folder.

If i open the main icon however with a left click any folder or shortcut i open from that point opens in a new window despited the folder options being set to open all in the same window.

Oddly if i right click and open one of my shortcuts then anything i subsequently open does open in the same window.

As i said not a major problem but pretty annoying after a while!

Thanks guys for any help

Hello Reg, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you mean still opening from the taskbar afterwards, then drag the default Windows Explorer icon on the taskbar to the right of these other shortcuts to see if that allows them to only open one window when clicked on instead.

Hope this helps,
