I have a Lenovo Thinkpad x60s and just recently installed build 7057. Now it took some time but i finally got my fingerprint reader working. The only thing is when i lock my computer i have two choices my account and the fingerprint reader. Is it possible to make it so that when my computer comes out from sleep, only the fingerprint reader would show up

Just keeping a thread alive. I've found no solution. The inbuilt windows fingerprint reader software seems as if it could be a lot more graceful than the old IBM add on, except that I have to make all these extra clicks at login, instead of just swiping my finger. If anyone finds a solution, or MS sees this and realizes it's dumb this way. . . .
Actually, if i just swipe my finger at the login screen, it works fine. the 'other credentials' button was just a red herring.
My x60s opens with the logon screen, then switches to the fingerprint screen after a moment. There are issues with some of the drivers - and the installation was a real PITA for me. I tried installing the latest version (and was unhappy with it), only to find that you had to install an earlier version before installing the later version in order to get full functionality.
Hm, that's interesting. On my t43 the fingerprint reader was detected automagically, which caught me by surprise. I didn't expect it to work off the bat like that, but stumbled upon the Biometric Devices control panel and was able to set it up from there. One strange thing though. . . it doesn't seem to be available at all when first booted (or probably that is when logged off) but only when I or the screensaver has locked the screen. For me that hardly matters, as I'm never logged off, just sleep or hibernate, unless some update or some such has forced me to reboot. Still doesn't seem right though.
All in all I preferred the behaviors of the IBM supplied utility for XP to the MS/Utek supplied stuff in 7.
EDIT: Turns out if I wait (quite a bit longer than I should have to, 15-30 seconds it seems) the fingerprint login screen eventually comes up, and I can swipe in as usual. Takes WAY too long to get there, I hope MS manages to fix this one soon so that it's more graceful.

Hey you are right! I was also annoyed that, after having logged in once with a password, every subsequent logon presents me with the password logon option, as opposed to the fingerprint option which it did before. To get that fingerprint logon screen I would have to click the "Other credentials" button, then the fingerprint logon button.
But you are right, even though the password logon option is displayed, it accepts a fingerprint scan!
