    Add/Remove Programs

    I guess I missed
the boat or whatever vehicle I should have been on. Whatever did Microsoft utilize to replace that good old Add/Remove Programs feature in the Control Panel??? Also, where is the capability to Add/Remove Components you do not wish to avail yourself of???? I understand that you normally install software via the CD provided with said software & hopefully, that software will include an uninstall option. Is this the only way to fly now?? There is no longer an ability to decline to utilize those functions you feel you do not need?? I did not really notice this on my recent install of 7 as I let it do its own thing and do not know if there was a point where I could make some selections! I don't really have an issue with this, but our son (who has not done Win 7 yet) has some knowledge of the beast and was wondering about this point. Comments, opinions and suggestions are surely welcome!!!

Control Panel - Programs and Features.

uninstall components - Programs and Features-Turn Windows Features on and off

or type appwiz.cpl in start menu search

Programs and Features - Create Shortcut

THANX!! Will pass this info on to my son! I guess we may have eventually run across this somehow, but time will tell. Only been around computers since the early 60s but a relatively newbie as far as PCs go. An even newer newbie on Win 7!!!
