    Dell Studio 1535 Charging problem


    Hello , I have one problem , my Dell Studio 1535 Not charging my battery.All plugged in corectly and Charger works ,becouse when i take off batery from laptop it's still working.And i can see in power option there is write ,because my batery (plugged in,not charging).Waiting for answers

    That is a symptom of a dead battery. Of course, I can not say definitively that is the cause, but why don't you look into that possibility?

    Battery is not dead, I was in BIOS setup and there shows , because battery is not installed . How i can install it?

    battery + power lead


    1. Perform an ATX reset. Remove all power (battery + power lead) and hold the on button down for 30 seconds.
    2. In control panel power management (or the equivalent from XP) turn off the options "shutdown / standby when battery critically low" or similar, so Windows will never try to turn itself off when the battery is low.
    3. Run the battery right down (probably not that difficult )
    4. Leave it plugged in for 16 hours.
    5. Start her up on battery alone and see how far you get.
