Re-name to the pinned icons menu at start? Is there any possibility to put re-name option under start menu pinned icons right-click? Some names are too long or have numbers, so I would like to re-name them in more easy way then going to Properties-General. Thanks in advance!

Hi Kika,
Going to Properties > General is the easiest way to rename Start menu pinned items. I suppose you could drag the item to the Desktop, click the name, edit it, then drag it back to the Start menu... but that doesn't seem any faster.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Walker

Hi Kika!
When you right-click on pinned items on Start menu, in context menu there are no rename option. And this is how I usually do:
_Click on item (that you want to rename) drag and drop it to desktop (to create shortcut).
_Then you have item's shortcut on your desktop, rename it.
_Drag and drop renamed item back into Start menu (drag item into Start button first), putting items on Start menu will available when the message "Pin to Start menu" appears.
Hope that help. Have a nice day! | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo OS Windows 7 Professonal CPU Intel Pentium Dual Core 2*1.86 GHz Memory 2GB Graphics Card 256 MB (Shared) |

Hey, thanks That way, yes is possible, just thought might be some way to edit registry, as is with adding things to the right-click for folders. Would be so much easier. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number IBM OS Windows 7 x64 CPU Intel Core 2 T8100 @ 2.10GHz Memory 3 GB SO-DIMM DDR2-800 Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 Sound Card SteelSeries Siberia 7.1 3D Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Mouse Logitech MX |

You could try reading this, or going here and requesting an updated version for Windows 7 (or just asking if it'll work for what you want to do.) Good luck! Let us know how it works out.
