Is windows contacts included in the default installation of Windows pro 7x64?

Hello DWFII,

Yes, Windows Contacts "C:\Users\(user-name)\Contacts" is included in all editions of Windows 7.

Thanks...I found it. I'm surprised Microsoft didn't make this easier to find. It is the address book that some folks here have been looking for.

Easier? Its in your profile folder, two clicks away in the start-menu or two from the desktop

It's not in my start menu.

I ran across a response at Microsoft about address books or something like that and the instructions were to go to the start menu and click on Contacts. I looked for it. It wasn't there. That's why I asked if it was part of the default install. Maybe Dell deleted it from the start menu, I don't know.

But read the response I got when I asked...post #2...there is no mention of the start menu. But I did find it exactly where Brink said it would be.

It was originally on the Vista start-menu but was removed with 7, Now its the first folder you see when you open your user folder from the start-menu or desktop

You're welcome DWFII. I'm glad that you got it sorted.

If you set your Personal folder (user folder) to "Display as a menu" in the Customize Start Menu options, it would make it easier to access as well.
