How to disable other users

Hi-first post. Did a search, nothing was quite the same as my situation.

System is a new laptop that arrived with Windows 7. Only one user, and set up myself as Administrator.

I will be the ONLY user EVER on this pc. Is there a way to remove any instances (login etc) where I get the option to switch user?

Also I am sick of trying to do something and being told by the OS that I must have Administrator privileges to do that. Well that's kind of stupid- as the only user and being set up as Administrator that infuriates me. It also tells me something is not working correctly- either by MS design or bug I suppose- and that actually frightens me.

Thanks.

There are several methods, if you use this one, you defeat the purpose of the security settings, which is for your own good, but you will have complete control.

Personally, I perfer the safety with the built in annoyances.

Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable[2]=User Accounts
I run Windows 7 Ultimate and have enabled the built in administrator account. It does not give me complete control without the "annoyances". From what I can see the built in account is no different than my own administrator account. I am not seeking to do away with the annoyances; I'm just curious about my setup.

Hello Madkiwi, and welcome to Seven Forums.

This may be able to help. It removes "Switch User" from everywhere. It's the same in Windows 7 as Vista.

Hope this helps,

I didn't think to look there, and never did use Vista.

Thanks, it worked.
