How do I launch multiple files from Explore?

In Windows XP I could select multiple files (and types) in Windows Explore and ENTER would launch all of them.

For example, I could select an XLS file and a VSD file, press ENTER, the spreadsheet would open in Excel and the drawing in Visio.

How do I make this great functionality work in Windows 7?

Thanks for your reply. I hope someone has an answer that works, otherwise it's stay with XP and wait until the next version of Windows, hoping it's more business-use friendly (same with Office). All the little things that were great about XP and Office 97 are gone and my productivity suffers - that's why I keep using XP / O97 for primary work tools.

Very odd, I have Office 2010 selecting two word files and hitting enter opens both...

You will be stuck with Windows XP and Office 97 for the rest of your life. The world left you behind long ago.

The OP is asking about selecting multiple file types. Try selecting a doc and a xls and pressing enter. Even the Right Click -> Open is missing when you select multiple file types.

Correct. I often work with multiple file types as a "package" so I'll select and open a spreadsheet with data, design documents in Word and a Visio file to make a workflow chart. Not the end of the world to go back and open each by itself, just a loss of productivity...Microsoft is very good at chipping away at worker productivity (despite their advertising).
