From the desktop,, right click ie, select properties,in the run in, select normal... Then open ie,, make sure it is in the restore down mode... Use the mouse to set the size of ie,,that you want your shortcuts to open... Close ie... Open it again to check that it opens to the size that you want... Close ie... Now go back to ie properties,, select run in maximized... Now ie will open maximized and the shortcuts will open in the restore down mode that you sized.

Hi Guys

I had tihs problem too but mainly with internet explorer. I fixed it by right clicking on the icon, going to properties and on the "shortcut" tab going to Run and selecting maximised. it now opens properly for me every time. Hope this helps.

Hi,
I am having the same issue where a window (not just IE but any program) will either start minimized or go to being minimized when I try to give it focus (just move toward it.) I've done various scans and it doesn't appear to be malware or a virus or anything.
Any suggestions?
Thanks very much,
Randy

When I open Windows Media Player 12, it starts up in the Player Library, then immediately shrinks down to a small Now Playing window. Since I haven't selected any music yet, the Now Playing window is useless and annoying. I've looked around online and in this forum, but I still haven't...

minimized windows open and disappear
Minimized windows open and disappear immediately behind maximized windows. Like as soon as it finishes opening! In order to view it or work on it I have to minimize the maximized windows. Or exit them. I know I caused it somehow.
