I shouldn't advertise the fact on your screenshot on the Watermark on that it says quite clearly
THIS COPY OF WINDOWS IS NOT GENUINE.
Once you've messed this up then you can't rely on ANY program to work as who knows what changes have possibly been made to system or kernel core files.
Whilst we all know that torrents are used -- I wouldn't go blatently advertising to all and sundry the fact that your actual Windows installation is a Pirate copy.
(That's actually for your OWN protection BTW -- especially as sites like the small Nova and the Nautical one are being much more rigorously policed these days).

They (for some reason I cant fathom) mess their system up to rid the watermark from the bottom. Then they wonder why their os is not functioning as it should.

It's annoying to have text on your screen you don't need or want. Myself i also removed the watermark.
But from the screenshot it's obvious he installed the timenuker. Since this disables the softwareprotection service windows displays that text.
I don't see however how one can be accused of 'pirating' (which is what somalians do in the gulf of Aden) a free beta release.
Microsoft should be content because it saves them server bandwidth

but its a FREE PUBLIC beta! this is just hillarious..... i mean, some ppl @ MS have to laugh and shake their heads at the same time. Ppl will "pirate" anything, and i mean anything... just to have that "arrrrrrrgh" rep. I seen a windows 7 RC1 Black edition the other day. Seriously now, ppl are customizing "black" a beta OS? are you serious? Ppl that have this much time on their hands... just rediculous IMO. Now once this goes final, well then do what you may, but for humanity sake, its a beta ppl. keep your pants on and zipped up pls.
No reason to remove a watermark. Now your just stuck with another watermark. Should make the desktop unavailable to ppl if you have to go as far as wanting to remove a watermark. Its not like its an ad or a popup every so many minutes.
